Jeep Stops Advertising Cheap Gladiator Lease, But It's Still There

You can’t find the sweet deal on the website anymore, but your local Jeep dealer should still offer it.

The Jeep Gladiator is arguably the hottest new truck at the moment, and with good reason, it’s been getting a lot of attention lately. In a bid to sweeten the pot, Jeep launched last month a hugely desirable lease deal as low as $143 per month for two years with $3,500 down and a limit of 10,000 miles annually. The deal – which was tailored to the Sport trim and had a residual value of 89 percent – quietly appeared on Jeep’s online configurator, but check the website now and you’re not going to see it anymore.

That’s because the lease deal is no longer listed on Jeep.com in the 2020 Gladiator configurator. Instead, what you’ll find is a different deal, with a 36-month term and $196 per month or $53 more than before. The good news is those interested in the two-year plan can still sign up for it by visiting a Jeep dealership. According to a report published by CarsDirect, residual guides from Chrysler Capital are still showing the Gladiator available with a 24-month lease deal. In other words, the lease is still up for grabs – it’s just not on the site anymore.

As you may recall, Jeep had no problems in selling the nearly-$61,000 Gladiator Launch Edition, with all 4,190 units finding a buyer within 24 hours. Go crazy with the configurator and you can pay even more for the midsize pickup truck, with the fully loaded version retailing for nearly $65,000.

In related news, there are some sweet discounts available for the Wrangler as a result of oversupply. Jeep dealers are trying to slim down the available inventory and some of them are offering discounts as high as $9,000. Not only that, but Jeep has started sending $1,000 bonus coupons as an incentive and will continue to do so until July 1. The incentive is offered via the U.S. Postal Service and e-mail and can be redeemed at the customer’s local Jeep dealer. Bear in mind it’s applicable only for the base 2018MY Wrangler and Wrangler Limited, regardless if you’re buying or leasing.
