Kia is said to be planning to launch the Sonet sub-4 meter SUV sometime around the festive season.
According to Manohar Bhat, Vice President & Head of Sales & Marketing, Kia Motors India, the Sonet could be launched sometime between the months of August and October 2020.
The Kia Sonet is expected to share its underpinnings with the Hyundai Venue. It could be offered with 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options, with either a manual or automated manual transmission (AMT).
Spy images suggest that the car could get Kia’s tiger nose grille and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The overall styling is expected to be based on the Sonet Concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.
