Maserati Levante Trofeo Launch Edition Debuts Stylish Look

Ermenegildo Zegna debuts new woven Nappa leather upholstery that adds a different visual texture to Maserati interiors.

The Maserati Levante Trofeo Launch Edition highlights the Italian brand’s debuts at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The company is only building 100 of the more stylish crossover.

Using the new range-topping model as a starting point, these crossovers feature carbon fiber trim on the bumpers and side sills. The exterior is available in Blu Emozione Matte (pictured above), Giallo Modenese yellow, and Rosso Magma red. This model rides on multi-spoked, 22-inch wheels that are available in a matte or gloss black finish. In addition, buyers can select from silver, blue, yellow or red for the brake calipers. On the inside, there’s Maserati’s Pieno Fiore natural leather upholstery in black, and customers can pick from blue, red, or yellow the contrast stitching.

Mechanically, the Launch Edition is identical to the standard Levante Trofeo. The SUV uses a Ferrari-built 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 590 horsepower (440 kilowatts) and 538 pound-feet (730 Newton-meters) of torque. An eight-speed gearbox routes the power through an all-wheel-drive system. This setup lets the crossover reach 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 3.9 seconds and hit 186 mph (300 kph).

In addition to the limited-run Levante Trofeo, Ermenegildo Zegna debuts its new Pelletessuta woven Nappa leather in Geneva, and the material is exclusively for Maserati products. To show off how the upholstery looks, there is a customized Levante and Quattroporte at the show with this special stuff covering their cabins(examples above). It has an interesting visual texture that is very similar to fabric but might be far softer to the touch.

Maserati also gives the GranTurismo MC a new coat of paint in Geneva. The model wears a Grigio Lava Matte gray with the Nerissimo Carbon Pack. Black chrome trim adorns the upper part of the grille, Trident emblems, side air intakes, and tailgate lettering. As a final dark touch, black accents adorn the door handles, exhaust outlets, and window frames.
