Masters of Motors Competition Coming to PRI

The very first and certainly not the last Masters of Motors competition by JE Pistons took place at SEMA 2018. This competition was judged by four of the most knowledgeable and infamous guys in the industry: former HOT ROD magazine editor-in-chief David Freiburger, Engine Masters host and owner of Westech Performance Steve Brulé, NHRA play by play announcer and editor-in-chief of Bangshift.com Brian Lohnes, and editor-in-chief of MotoIQ.com Mike Kojima. At the PRI show on December 6-9, another former HOT ROD editor, Jeff Smith, will be subbing in for Steve Brulé.

These guys wandered the SEMA show in search of most awesome and creative engines entered in the competition and bestowed upon one builder the Overall “Engine-uity” Award. This billet-aluminum trophy, made by JE Pistons, not only comes with a truck-load of bragging rights, but also $4,500 of manufacturer credits from Dart Machinery, K1 Technologies, and Trend Performance.

However, entrants aren’t only gunning for the overall win. There are several classes that pay out $1,000 to each winner that they can spend with JE Pistons. Starting on December 6th at 9:00am the judging will begin at PRI to determine the winners of the “Engine-uity” Award, Drag Race, Circle Track, Boosted, Nitrous, Naturally Aspirated, Import, and Best Appearing engine classes.

Make sure you enter here so the judges know where to find your engine at the show and keep a lookout for a Masters of Motors entry form placed on your vehicle/engine. That is your ticket into the awards ceremony being held on Friday, December 7 at 11:00am PST. You must be in attendance to win! Good luck.
