Hero MotoCorp is planning to introduce a new variant of the Glamour motorcycle. This variant, called the X-TEC, is expected to be positioned above the regular Glamour in the company’s model line-up. The company had filed a trademark for the ‘X-TEC’ name in November 2020.

The Glamour X-TEC is likely to be powered by the same 124.7cc, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine as the regular Glamour. This unit produces 10.58 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm @ 6,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

According to a leaked internal presentation, the Glamour X-TEC will be available in three colours – Techno Black, Grey Blue and Grey Red. It will get features such as an all-digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity and LED headlight with a new console. The instrument cluster will sport a digital tachometer and speedometer, while also featuring a gear position indicator and RTMI.

The Hero Glamour X-TEC will compete with the Honda SP 125 in the 125cc commuter segment.
