One of the World’s Biggest Air-cooled VW Collections is Being Liquidated

Puerto Rico’s Volkyland Collection is being liquidated. The collection is considered one of the world’s largest of air-cooled Volkswagens and you could be the next steward for one (or many) of these historic cars.

The sale is being handled by Oldbug.com and, in case you needed reminding, the cars aren’t technically being imported because they’re from America. That said, you will have to ship them, which will likely still be a pain in the butt.

But for your trouble, you’ll have access to some truly special cars. There are weird and wonderful modified cars like the Hummbug or the air-cooled New Beetle. There’s rare foreign market stuff like the Fridolin postal car or the Puma GT. There’s old military stuff, no shortage of race cars, and even some non-VW stuff (like a Citroen Traction Avant!).

The sale has been going on for a few days now, so some of the cars have already sold, but there’s still a lot of good stuff look at. Unfortunately, it’s all being sold as is. So, while they all look pretty good, there could be some mechanical gremlins to sort out before you drive into the sunset.

Check it all out at oldbug.com.
