Porsche has unveiled the all-new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, its latest plug-in family vehicle that’s capable of tackling many supercars on a daily basis. It’ll do so thanks to a four-liter bi-turbo V8 engine that is coupled with 17.9kWh battery-supported electric motor that produces 134 BHP on its own — resulting in a four-door family saloon that produces 690 BHP in total.
In summary, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has as much power as the marque’s flagship 911 GT2 RS. Only this car can comfortably seat four, perhaps even five people, and do so with ease and a focus on eco-friendliness. While it may only be able to deliver just 31 miles on the battery alone, the V8 engine is by its side to help the German saloon car launch from 0-62 MPH in just 3.2 seconds — 0.1 seconds slower than the non-plug-in Turbo S — and it will continue to its top speed of 196 MPH.
Furthermore, as this new model is now the flagship in its range, Porsche has fitted it with all of its latest mechanical technology. New chassis and control systems are fitted as standard, introducing the electric roll stabilization system, Torque Vectoring Plus, rear-wheel steering, and a new set of ceramic brakes.
Prices for the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid saloon start at £140,130 GBP, while the Sport Turismo estate will cost from £142,280 GBP (approx. $181,600 — $184,400 USD respectively).
