There’s no shortage of car-related content hitting the small screen — between hit shows like “Top Gear,” “Fast ‘n’ Loud” and the various other drama-driven automotive reality shows, most folks can get their fill for a week. Thing is, if you just want to see some cars rip around a racetrack and see how different cars stack up with each other — well, you’re generally out of luck.
But that problem looks like it could change with NBC Sports' new show “Proving Grounds.”
The show’s premise is as straightforward as you can get — take a group of cars and see how they perform in a series of tests. Naturally, there will be no shortage of supercars and brutish muscle machines, but the show will also tackle less obvious choices like minivans.
