Renault has unveiled its sub-4 meter 7-seater called the Triber. It will be launched in the Indian market in the second half of 2019.
The Renault Triber measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width, 1,643 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,636 mm. It comes with a removable third row of seats. Depending on the seating configuration, the boot capacity varies from 84 litres to 625 litres. The car has a ground clearance of 182 mm and comes with a 40 litre fuel tank.
The Triber has a 3-slat grille with chrome inserts and a Renault logo in the centre. It has wraparound headlamps and a dual-tone front bumper with a silver scuff plate and daytime running lights. There is black plastic cladding around the wheel arches and on the doors. It has blacked-out B and C-pillars and a stepped roof with roof rails. At the rear, the Triber gets wraparound tail lights and a dual tone bumper with a silver insert.
On the inside, the Triber gets a dual-tone dashboard. The centre console houses an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The car has a 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster with an 8.9 cm screen. It has a cooled central storage area with cup holders and a cooled glove box and air-conditioning vents for the second and third row passengers. The second row of seats can slide and recline, while the third row has two seats that can be removed individually.
The Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 71 BHP @ 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm of torque @ 3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.
