Renault Triber scores 4 stars in Global NCAP crash tests

The car scored 11.62 points for adult occupant protection and 27 points for child occupant safety.

The Renault Triber has been awarded a 4-star safety rating in the crash tests conducted by Global NCAP. The car scored 11.62 points for adult occupant protection and 27 points for child occupant safety.

The Triber offered good protection to the head and neck of the driver and passenger. The driver’s chest and knees showed marginal protection while the passenger’s chest showed adequate protection. The passenger’s knee received good protection. Driver and passenger tibias showed adequate protection.

The bodyshell was rated as unstable and it was not capable of withstanding further loadings. The footwell area was rated as stable.

The forward-facing child seat for the 3-year old was not able to prevent excessive forward movement during the impact. Chest protection was average and head protection was low. The car offered full protection to the rearward facing 18-month old.

The test car was equipped with seat belt pretensioners for the driver’s seat, dual front airbags, seat belt reminder and ABS.
