According to a media report, Daihatsu will reveal a compact sub-4 metre SUV on November 5, 2019. Toyota’s version could replace the Rush in the international market.
The car is expected to be a production version of the DN-Trec concept car and is said to measure 3.98 m in length. It will be based on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA), which is a derivative of Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA).
The SUV could be powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder engine and could be available in 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive variants. Under the Toyota brand, the car could be sold in more global markets than the outgoing Rush.
