Thanks to BHPian RavenAvi for sharing this with other enthusiasts.

It is reported that Tata is expected to build a new sub-4m sedan based on the Agile, Light, Flexible and Advanced (ALFA) platform. Code-named as Goshaq, it is could borrow design cues from the Hornbill, Sierra & Tigor. That said, it is not yet known if this car would be the next-generation Tigor or an altogether new model that could replace the Tigor.

Tata claims that the scalable ALFA platform has been designed to accommodate various body styles including hatchbacks, sedans, MPVs and compact SUVs. It offers a flat floor that is claimed to maximize legroom. The ALFA platform is claimed to support multiple powertrains. In addition to conventional petrol and diesel engines, it can also accommodate hybrid and electric powertrains. The Tata Altroz was the first car to come with this new platform.
