There’s a motorsports oasis in the Garden State. Conveniently located near Philadelphia and New York City, New Jersey Motorsports Park has been hosting events since 2008 and has become the premier motorsports entertainment complex in the Northeast.

Offering diverse and dynamic attractions both on- and off-track, NJMP covers more than 500 acres in Millville, N.J. The idyllic facility includes two world-class road courses, a spectacular outdoor karting complex, a motorsports country club membership program, 10 acres of paintball fields, outdoor ax throwing, concert and festival space, overnight accommodations, real estate development opportunities, and a clubhouse with a bar/restaurant and a massive built-in Clubhouse Pool.

In honor of neighboring Millville Executive Airport, which served as a gunnery school for fighter pilots of the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt during World War II, New Jersey Motorsports Park has named its marquee racetrack Thunderbolt Raceway. The 2.25-mile world-class road course features 12 challenging turns and a half-mile straightaway.

Named after the P-38 Lightning, a WWII fighter aircraft, NJMP’s Lightning Raceway is a 1.9-mile road course with 10 corners, a 4-acre skidpad and an expansive autocross area. Its Tempest Raceway is one of the top karting facilities in the country. With two challenging configurations, it offers enthusiasts the ultimate outdoor karting experience. Not to mention, their Arrive & Drive go-karts (open to the public) feature 9-hp gas engines that reach upward of 55 mph.

New Jersey Motorsports Park has also just announced the radical expansion of its Exotic Car Garages (ECG), which will allow even more car and motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors to transform their garage dreams into reality. Each climate-controlled garage is as unique as the owner, a place where you can store your vehicles and relax in pure luxury.

“When I found out NJMP was building Exotic Car Garages on the track, I was one of the first to buy. As a racer and collector, the convenience of having my cars there was a key selling point,” says Phase I ECG owner Jerry Raffa. “Since then, I’ve customized my 1,500-square-foot garage to hold six cars and a lift, as well as adding a 500-square-foot loft, kitchenette, bath and a deck where we have front-row seats to all the races.”

Located in an 8,800-square-foot building overlooking Thunderbolt Raceway, Phase III of the project consisted of seven Exotic Car Garages ranging in size from 1,000-1,500 square feet — and they sold out quickly. Phase I, II and III of the Exotic Car Garage Project proved to be exactly what enthusiasts were looking for, and the demand for Exotic Car Garage units continues to rise.

Following the recent completion and sellout of the third phase of the project, NJMP has announced the construction of Phase IV. “The Exotic Car Garages have been a great addition to the infrastructure at New Jersey Motorsports Park, and Phase IV is another example of that continued progress,” says Lee Brahin, NJMP managing partner.

Collector Bobby Brown is enjoying the ultimate motorsports lifestyle at NJMP. “After purchasing a Villa at Breighton and joining the Drivers Club a few years ago, I was captured by the excitement and development of Phase I of the Exotic Car Garages,” says the Phase II ECG owner. “The Exotic Car Garages provide a perfect fit for me, my collection, and my passion.”

The project’s new fourth phase features eight new climate-controlled trackside units totaling 10,500 square feet with units ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. Each unit features ceilings high enough to house a trailer or stack cars, and depending on overall size, it can store up to 10 vehicles. Standard features include a sprinkler system and CO2 detectors, water and flood drains, 24-hour security, asphalt driveway, landscaping, sewer and cable connections, lighting, an entrance door, ground-level sliding glass door and a ground-level patio.

Those who opt for a mezzanine level or viewing deck gain an elevated viewing gallery of their collection, as well as picturesque views of NJMP’s racing circuits. Other available options and upgrades in Phase IV include mechanic tool packages, kitchenette, restrooms, hospitality spaces, home theater and upgraded electric sources. The units can also be customized further with wine cellars, custom bars, custom flooring, shelving, wall units, vehicle lifts and a tire changer.

New Jersey Motorsports Park is also making available a limited number of prime commercial “Build To Suit” lots on the property for long-term ground lease or purchase. Ranging in size from 3,000 to 20,000 square feet, each premium NJMP Speedplex lot is sized to accommodate a structure, related parking and storage. That’s enough space to create your personal or team “Garage Mahal,” race shop, retail space, showroom or motorsports-related business.

“The all-inclusive motorsports lifestyle we are creating offers unmatched value,” says R.J. Valentine, NJMP managing partner.

And much of that value is enjoying NJMP and the sport you love with the people you love. “My NJMP custom garage was originally built for me, but I share it with my race team buddies and use it with my family almost every weekend,” says Raffa.

Brown agrees. “I’ve built a home away from home, which allows me to spend time with my family, friends and my hobby, all at once,” he says with a smile.
