There’s no shortage of rumors hovering around Aston Martin’s upcoming hypercar — the Valkyrie — but, now we’re starting to see what it’s going to look like when it hits the streets. With twice as many cylinders as Red Bull’s Formula 1 car, the Cosworth-built and naturally-aspirated V12 will pair with an F1-style KERS hybrid system and make a staggering 1,130 combined horsepower.
Still, despite knowing a lot of the Valkyrie’s technical info and what Aston Martin planned for its shape — it looks even crazier as it approaches the final stages of development. The interior alone looks more at home in a Sci-Fi flick about space travel than a road car. As Aston showed in the Instagram post below, you can see that the speedometer, and all of the other important vehicle information, is found smack dab in the middle of the steering wheel. Though, there’s no shortage of screens on the dash — two are mounted on the expansive carbon fiber dashboard.

Taking inspiration from today’s #F1 race cars, Aston Martin Valkyrie features a reclined ‘feet up’ position, ensuring the driver feels at one with the car for the ultimate drive experience #BeautifulToDrive #AstonMartin #AstonMartinValkyrie

The seating position also looks directly inspired by Red Bull’s F1 endeavors. Aston dubbed the layout as a “feet up” position, which puts the pedals higher than your seat — giving you a similar experience to being in a cramped race car. The six-point harness, too, should remind you of a competition-ready machine.
We’re still waiting to see what the whole package feels like in action, but it looks like that’s not too far away. It’s expected that this car will roll out of its factory — if you want to call it that — sometime next year. Untill then, we'll just have soak in these social media teasers.
