Watch the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ lift its front wheels

When the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon debuted, the folks at Dodge made a big deal about its wheelie prowess. Well, it looks like the folks from Lamborghini should have at least mentioned they were joining the wheelie club, too. Just from looking at the numbers, the 759-hp, all-wheel-drive Lamborghini Aventador doesn’t seem like an ideal candidate to rip its front wheels off the ground — but the proof is on tape.

The team at “DragTimes” captured the wheelie while testing the latest Lambo on the quarter-mile. Shooting for a low 10-second pass, the driver sets the Aventador’s launch control and gets ready for the light to turn green. While launching, the Aventador bogs before violently accelerating. Though, the reason for the bog might have been the traction control reacting to the front tire being lifted into the air.
