Yezdi ADV motorcycle spotted testing, to rival RE Himalayan

It is expected to use the 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that powers the Jawa Perak.

A Yezdi ADV motorcycle has been spotted testing. Based on the information available, the prototype has been spied on the old Mumbai-Pune highway.

As per the spy shot, the Yezdi ADV would have a circular headlamp (most likely an LED unit), a tall windscreen, wire-spoke wheels and front fork gaiters. The motorcycle could also come equipped with a beak-style front fender, a single-piece tube-type handlebar for an upright riding stance, split seats, some sort of luggage racks near the fuel tank, and pannier mounts at the rear.

It seems that the Yezdi ADV would be using a larger front and smaller rear wheel. They are likely to be fitted with dual-purpose tyres. For the suspension, the motorcycle would have telescopic forks at the front and a rear mono-shock. The anchoring duties would be handled by disc brakes at both ends aided by ABS.

As for the engine, the Yezdi ADV is expected to use the 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor that powers the Jawa Perak. It is capable of delivering 30.22 BHP and 32.74 Nm. For the transmission, there would be a 6-speed gearbox.

When launched, the Yezdi ADV would have the Royal Enfield Himalayan as its primary rival.
