A Bunch of Your Favorite Drivers Are Coming Together For an All-Star Esports Battle

Following the cancelation of pretty much all forms of motorsport thanks to the spreading coronavirus pandemic, the world of sim racing has exploded. This latest Esports race, put together by motorsports publication The Race, will see some of the world’s most legendary drivers go head-to-head on track.

Called the Legends Trophy, the race will be a support event for the third round of The Race’s main All-Star event, set to take place on Saturday, March 28. Designed for drivers over 40, it’s jam-packed with world-class competitors, including two-time F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi and three-time Indy 500 winners Helio Castroneves and Dario Franchitti.

That’s not all. Almost everyone participating has won something major. From the announcement:

“I’ve raced against guys like Gil, Paul, Bryan and Adrian back in the day and it will be great to do battle again,” Fittipaldi told The Race. “This will be a lot of fun.”

“I’m really looking forward to this event and a chance to race with my old mates and competitors once again, hopefully with some really lairy cars and on a great track,” Franchitti said.

The Race will be streaming the event live on its YouTube channel starting March 28 at 10 a.m. eastern time. With names like this going up against each other, you won’t want to miss it.
