Ken Block Built Another Escort Cosworth and He's Taking It Rallying Around the World

Last year, Ken Block built an Escort Cosworth rally car for Gymkhana 10. After he was done filming, he took the car racing. It completed the Oregon Trail Rally without issue, but was later deemed a total loss after Block had a rollover at the New England Forest Rally that set the car ablaze. Now, he’s back with a new Cosworth, and this one is more extreme than ever.

This Escort will be Ken Block’s weapon of choice for stage rallying in 2019. He says the goal of this design was to apply a modern WRC-style aero package to the body. Complete with widened boxed fenders, some extreme wings, and an aggressive diffuser, it’s a great take on what a factory-backed Escort Cosworth rally car in the year 2019 would look like. The multi-color black, blue, purple, and white livery was created by Troy Lee Designs. Block uploaded a great video to his YouTube channel with designer Ash Thorp describing how the car went from rendering to reality.

The Hoonigan driver announced a worldwide tour consisting of some of the coolest rally events going on this year. Some of the events include the 100 Acre Wood Rally in Missouri, Rally Whangarei in New Zealand, the Donegal Rally in Ireland, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Gymkhana Grid in Poland, and Rally Legends in San Marino. Block said in a previous video there would be more events added to his calendar as logistics are finalized.

We can’t wait to see this thing flying through stages.
