Pierre Gasly's fantasy Formula 1 race scenario

In reponse to a request on social media, AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly has been drawing up his perfect fantasy Formula 1 race.

It was during an AlphaTauri fan Q&A video that the Frenchman was asked to describe his perfect race scenario, so he blended his favourite corners and sections from the tracks which he currently races at in Formula 1.

He would also use the current Formula 1 cars, simply because they are the “fastest” in the series’ history, but there was space for some iconic challengers from the 70s and 80s.

The track would also be very close to his home so he had plenty of practice time.

“The location would probably be near my house so I can go there every day and I can practice day in and day out,” Gasly said, as quoted by Crash.net.

“In terms of track design I think a mix of all the corners that I like.

“My favourite track, especially for qualifying, is Monaco as you get such an adrenaline rush. I love Spa and I like high-speed corners in general so Suzuka, quite technical too as I like Budapest and Silverstone.

“The problem is I like most tracks in general so maybe just take one corner for each. I like long tracks too like Singapore which has many corners. So, my favourite corners from all these tracks.

“For weather I love rain, I grew up in Normandy and I got to drive under the rain quite often, I do like it because you get more sliding and it makes it a bit more challenging.

“The car would probably be the cars we have now as they are the fastest and in terms of feeling driving them is really enjoyable, but I would have loved to try F1 cars from the past in the 1970s or 1980s.”
