The luxury EV in two body styles – Audi e-tron and Audi e-tron Sportback. It will compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace.
Audi is gearing up to launch the e-tron in India on July 22, 2021. The company has revealed that it will offer the luxury EV in two body styles – Audi e-tron and Audi e-tron Sportback. Audi e-tron buyers will further be able to choose between two variants – the e-tron 50 and e-tron 55. The Audi e-tron Sportback, which has a couple-like rear, will be available only in the e-tron 55 variant.
The Audi e-tron 55 and the Audi e-tron Sportback 55 draw power from a 95 kW battery and have a claimed range of 359 – 484 km (WLTP combined). Both these cars produce 300 kW (402 BHP) and 664 Nm. The Audi e-tron 50 draws power from a 71 kW battery and has a claimed range of 264 – 379 km (WLTP combined). It develops 230 kW (308 BHP) and 540 Nm. The vehicle comes with a 11kW AC home charger and is capable of up to 150 kW DC charging.
The Audi e-tron is a 4-door electric SUV that is based on the MEB platform. It has a platinum grey single-frame grille, and features such as Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, progressive steering, adaptive air suspension, 4 zone climate control and Matrix LED headlamps are offered as standard on all variants.
Customers can book the Audi e-tron 50, the Audi e-tron 55 and the Audi e-tron 55 Sportback on the company’s website or register their interest at an Audi dealership.
The Audi e-tron will be imported via the CBU route. It will compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace in the Indian market.
