The Ford Figo facelift (Ford Ka) has received a 3-star safety rating in Latin NCAP crash tests. The car was awarded 3 stars for adult occupant safety and 4 stars for child occupant safety.
According to the test report, the updated Figo offered adequate protection to the driver’s head and chest area in a frontal crash. The protection for the front passenger was found to be good. In a side impact, the car offered good protection to the head and abdomen, but weak protection to the chest area. The report rates the bodyshell of the vehicle as stable.
The car used in the crash tests was equipped with structural side impact members for occupant protection. The vehicle was equipped with dual airbags, seat belt pretensioners, seat belt reminder for driver, ABS, ESC and ISOFIX child safety anchors.
It is worth noting that the pre-facelift model had received a 0-star rating in Latin NCAP crash tests carried out in 2017.
