The faulty fuel pump could have developed a small hole at the bottom. There could also be a crack in the fuel pump assembly.
Kia has issued a service campaign all diesel Seltos variants manufactured between 1 October 2019 and 13 March 2020 due to a possible faulty fuel pump.
The faulty fuel pump could have developed a small hole at the bottom. There could also be a crack in the fuel pump assembly. This could make the car vibrate, reduce the car’s pickup and/or create a problem while starting the car.
If no damage is found, the fuel pump won’t be replaced. The warranty replacement will be done at no cost to the buyer. Owners have reported no proactive communication from the Korean carmaker. They have known about this recall thanks to other owners who underwent this procedure.
