Lunaz Is Selling Full EV Versions of the Classic Range Rover for $327,000 USD

Located in the epicenter of British racing heritage, the Silverstone-based Lunaz workshop has long been breathing new life into elegant classics such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom V or Jaguar XK120 by giving them updated electric powertrains, and now the company is expanding its offerings to include what it calls “the definitive British SUV:” classic Range Rovers.

The cars in question will come from the “classic era” of Range Rover design, between 1970 to 1994, and will be completely personalized and customized to each customer’s liking. The interior will feature fully individualized upholstery and paneling, with options for a backseat bar area, front infotainment systems, full entertainment screens, and air conditioning, while exterior modifications will also be provided.

As for the electric powertrain itself, at the moment Lunaz offers two different packages: Town and Country. The former, as its name suggests, focuses more on cruising comfort within city environments, while the latter places emphasis on off-road performance by incorporating modern engineering advancements such as four-wheel drive, updated suspensions and braking, and anti-roll bars.

The company is currently working on its first 50 production cars, which are slated to arrive in 2021, though prices start at a hefty £245,000 GBP (roughly $327,000 USD). For those interested, you can learn more over on the company’s website.
