Pitbull, Luke Bryan and Trace Adkins Reference NASCAR in New Song

Pitbull’s passion for NASCAR is now manifest in his artistic work.

The Grammy award-winning rapper and songwriter dropped a new single this past month in collaboration with Luke Bryan and Trace Adkins called Where The Country Girls At, in which he directly references his team Trackhouse Racing and being the grand marshal for the Daytona 500 in February.

IT. IS. TIME.

Just past the two-minute mark in the song, Pitbull’s NASCAR reference is in the third verse following Adkins’ and Byran’s verses:

I’m at the NASCAR epicenter, Daytona 500
Grand Marshal, Trackhouse represent
White cones at the stage, I’m in the suite
Next to the greatest of all time, baby, MJ

That last reference is, of course a shoutout to Michael Jordan, who joined Denny Hamlin as a co-owner of 23XI Racing for driver Bubba Wallace.

Trackhouse was founded by former NASCAR driver Justin Marks in 2020, with Pitbull joining the organization as a co-owner in January.

Since joining Trackhouse, Pitbull has been regularly spotted at numerous NASCAR races throughout the season and has actively promoted the team and his sport through social media and his new single.

Pitbull’s investment has already yielded some early results, as Trackhouse’s driver in Daniel Suarez has recorded three Top 10 finishes in his first season with the team, which included leading 58 laps in the inaugural Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Pitbull reiterated his commitment towards supporting NASCAR on Wednesday when he and Marks announced that Trackhouse would be purchasing Chip Ganassi Racing’s Cup Series operation for the 2022 season and expanding to two cars.

With numerous other celebrities showcasing an interest in NASCAR over the past year like New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan, Pitbull is going to be a key part of the sport’s shifting landscape as it moves forward through the 2020s.
